The Aestheticization of Exchange is the title given to an exchange which took place in Paris with the philosopher Jacques Derrida, in 1995, as part of a Master's degree project.  Having been influenced by his theory of deconstruction and his ideas concerning ‘performative actions’ I created a work of relational art that could only be completed by offering him a cast plaster panel.  His gracious acceptance of the 'Glas¹’ panel completed the work.
